Privacy Notice

This notice explains how dogboarding.sg ("we", "us") collects, uses, discloses and protects your personal data when you use our website or send us an enquiry. We handle personal data in line with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). dogboarding.sg is an independent directory, not a boarding operator.
What personal data we collect
When you complete our enquiry form, we collect the details you give us, which typically include:
- Your name
- Your contact details (such as email and, if you provide it, phone or WhatsApp number)
- The dates you need care for
- Your preferred area in Singapore
- Details about your pet (such as service needed, breed, size or special needs) and any notes you add
We also collect limited technical data automatically: the page you submitted from, and campaign attribution values (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) if they are present in the link you arrived on. We do not set advertising or tracking cookies. Our host, Cloudflare, processes standard request data such as your IP address to serve and protect the site.
Why we collect it (purpose)
We use your personal data for one core purpose: to match you with a suitable, licensed boarder for your enquiry. In practice this means we use it to understand what you need, shortlist boarders, and put you in touch with the operator that fits. We may also use your contact details to follow up on your enquiry.
Who we share it with
To match you, we may share your enquiry details with the boarder or boarders we shortlist for you, so they can respond and arrange the stay. We share only what is needed for that purpose. The matched boarder is an independent operator and will handle your data under their own privacy practices once you are in contact with them.
We do not sell your personal data. We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf to run the site: Cloudflare (hosting, CDN and security), Formaloo (enquiry form storage and notifications) and Google (email delivery to our inbox). If we add analytics or other processors later, we will update this list here.
Consent
By submitting the enquiry form, you consent to us collecting, using and disclosing your personal data for the matching purpose described above. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us (see below); note that withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer match you with a boarder.
How long we keep it
We keep your enquiry data for up to 24 months from the date you contact us, so that we can match you, follow up, and help again if you board with us seasonally. After that we delete or anonymise it. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.
Access, correction and deletion
You have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to correct it, or to request its deletion. To make any of these requests, email us at hello@dogboarding.sg and we will action it within a reasonable time.
How we protect your data
We take reasonable steps to protect the personal data we hold against unauthorised access, use or disclosure. The site is served over HTTPS, enquiries are transmitted encrypted, and access to enquiry records is limited to the people who need it to match you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
